Gordon Mware shares top 10 Actionable Facebook Marketing Tips for small business.
Create a Facebook Page
A Facebook page will help you connect and share your message to potential customers all around the world.
And it’s free to create one too.
Leverage Facebook Groups
One of my favourite marketing tips is leveraging facebook groups to generate leads for your business.
All you do is find 3 to 5 Facebook Groups in your niche and request to become a member.
Once you are accepted, you can start sharing your message with other members in the group.
Remember to post value and engage with others content.
Go Live
When you go live, all your Facebook friends or page followers will get notification.
Your message will reach more people and you build your personal brand.
Share Visual Content
Makenough.\nYou neee your content easy to consume by presenting it as inforgraphics or charts.
I have found that people interact more with images than text only posts.
It gets more shares which gets your business more exposure.
Share Videos
Videos like images also do well on Facebook platform.
Videos also have a higher chance of going viral than any other type of content.
Take for example the dollar shave on YouTube.
Plus Social Media platforms favour video content as the consumer spends more time consuming content .
The more time a user spends on the platform, the more they can advertise to them.
Use your Personal Profile
To create a Facebook business page, you need to have a personal account, but do you know that you can leverage that profile to get extra customers.
Your daily routine will be connecting with 10 to 20 people daily to grow your profile.
Over time your account will have a decent number of friends who you can share your business with and make some sales.
Unlike Facebook page were you will pay to get more eyeballs on your content, personal profiles get organic reach for free.
Post more Often
The problem i see with most marketers is that they are not posting enough.
They is lot of competition online and your message can easily get buried if you are not posting enough.
You need to post at least two times a day to win the content marketing game.
If you don’t have enough content, you can curate great content from other influencers in your niche.
Utilize Hashtags
You have seen or maybe used hashtags on Instagram and Twitter, but do you know that they can help your brand too on Facebook.
Here are the guideline
Use relevant hashtags
Don’t use hashtags because they are popular as they are not targeted, you will get poor conversions.
Use the one that fit your business or specific post.
Use 3-5 Hashtags
I have found that 3 to 5 hashtags work best on Facebook.
Adding to many hashtags will look like you are fishing for likes and doesn’t look pleasing.
Engage
You need to interact with others content if you want them to do the same.
If you see a post that interests you, why not give it a like or leave a comment, even share it on your timeline or groups.
You may or not receive a complementary gesture from the poster but its good manners.
If someone commented on your post, go ahead and reply to show you care.
Everyday i open my facebook account and go to my feed and like 10 to 20 posts from my friends.
Most of them will do the same when i make a post.
Network with Others
You are not going to succeed alone, you need a team.
Find other influencers on the same level as you and collaborate on a topic.
You can go live together and you will be exposed to their audience and their audience to yours.
