Are you blogging for money or as a hobby
If you are blogging as a hobby, blogging is easy. You are writing about the topic that interest you.
You write whenever you want and whatever you want to share be it soccer, gaming or fashion.
If you are looking to make money from blogging, thats a different story.
You need to pick a niche(category) of people you are going to serve.
There may be thousands of blogs that cover the same topics as you and you are competing for readers attention.
You need to stand out from the competition by
Writing quality content.
Why should someone listen to your story instead of thousand other stories from other blogs.
There is SEO which is the art of optimizing your website or blog so that it ranks higher in search results.
All this requires lot of personal time and effort.
So is blogging easy
Blogging is more than
Choosing an interest
Creating a blog
Writing content
Making money
It requires much more than that
Here’s whats required to succeed as a blogger
Patience
You serve your audience and money will come later.
Right now i see a lot of new bloggers pitching stuff, buy this and that.
I am not saying its bad, i mean you should first build relationship with your audience before you start selling to them.
Be patient my friend
Cultivate friendship with your audience and they will become your lifetime customers.
All in all, blogging is a great way to serve your community at scale.
In my opinion blogging is easy if you know the proven formula for success.
Learn from influencers in your industry.
Find out how they do it and you will more likely have positive results.
